About The Facility: The Atlanta recording studio, LAVA Room Recordings {home of LAVA Rock Records} is a 4,000sq ft state of the art recording and full service duplication facility. Our Live Room is large enough to accommodate an entire band. If you prefer to record simultaneously in separate rooms, the studio is designed to allow visual and verbal communication between rooms. The facility at LAVA Room Recordings is also designed to oblige artists and produces who require an all inclusive facility; one complete with a three bedroom, 2 ½ bath home on 1+ private acres of wood land.
Studio Happenings:
Saturday January 19, 2008 was a very exciting day at LAVA Room Recordings as the internationally performing and Grammy award winning R&B recording artist India Arie sent her band into the studio to record six tracks for her next album. This talented and comedic group of musicians kept the LAVA Room Recordings staff laughing and rocking for ten straight hours! Eric and I extend a special thanks to producer, Brandon Burch for bringing the extraordinary music of India Arie to our studio! We can not wait for the album to be released! -Deborah-
LAVA Room Recordings is growing; not just in the number of artists and producers who desire our live sound, but physically as well! We have undertaken a two story, 2000sq ft expansion project making LAVA Room Recordings a 4000sq ft. all inclusive facility. The additional space will house a duplication, graphic arts and video editing suite, a kitchenette, a WiFi lounge and new corporate office. Whether your project requires an hour by hour studio only booking or a month long booking complete with use of a three bedroom, 2 ½ bath home on 1+ acres of private wooded land, LAVA Room Recordings can accommodate your need!
Along with Dr. Stephanie Grenier {singer/songwriter} and Brian Stephens {producer/drummer}, Eric and I have founded the North Atlanta Musicians Alliance {NAMA}. The goal of NAMA is to form a strong north Atlanta community of musicians, songwriters, singers, recording engineers, studio owners, producers, music retail outlets, music venues, music instructors, music schools and all who have an interest in the music industry, initiate networking, provide an educational platform and enable opportunities. The kick off meeting, held on March 17, 2008 at Tony's Sportsbar in Duluth, was a huge success! Thirty one music aficionados attended the 90min meeting and networking session.
